Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS)

The Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) is a national standards organization in India. The BIS established a hallmark system that provides the certification of gold jewellery. This certification authenticates the purity of the metal, and ensures that a piece of jewellery conforms to the standards laid by BIS. The BIS hallmarking has a high reputation among the jewellery trading industry in India, and is widely accepted consumers.

The hallmark consists of a BIS logo, a 3 digit number indicating the gold purity, the logo of the assaying center along with the logo or code of the jeweller, and the code that indicates the hallmarking date.

Conflict-Free Diamonds

Along with the world diamond industry, Radiant Bay has zero tolerance for conflict diamonds, otherwise known as “Blood Diamonds”. We guarantee that our diamonds are conflict-free, acquired through legal sources and in compliance with the standards of the Kimberly Process Certification Scheme.

Conflict-free diamonds are those diamonds that are not acquired in association with child labor, violence, environmental degradation or in violation of human rights. In 2003, an international process certification program was established by the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 55/56 called the ‘Kimberly Process Certification Scheme’. The Kimberly Process was assembled to certify the origin of rough diamonds from sources known to be conflict-free.
