  • Five Things to Do after the Proposal

0 comments / Posted by Admin Radiant Bay

Youā€™ve popped the question! Congrats! Take some time to revel in that rosy glow and celebrate the new direction your love is taking you. Then follow these simple next steps to get you that much closer to the altar.

    1. Make sure your new fiancƩ LOVES the ring.
If itā€™s not quite right, be very clear that itā€™s ok to switch it out for a different setting. You took your time finding just the rightdiamond, but a precious, everyday piece of jewelry like anĀ engagement ringĀ can be a very personal choice. Luckily, we have many options to choose from and are happy to help you with the exchange. Spend time together online picking out just the right one or visit one of ourĀ WebroomsĀ if thereā€™s one close by.

    1. Get the ring insured.
We canā€™t stress enough how important it is to get your ring insured immediately upon purchase, but if you didnā€™t, right after the proposal is a good time to make sure you do.

    3.Make your announcement.

    4. Share the news with your nearest and dearest via telephone or in person. In this era of social media, donā€™t let those closest to you find out youā€™re engaged though a Facebook, Instagram or any social media post. Once the news it out, though, spread the word any way you like. We particularly love it when youĀ tag us in your ring photosā€”it gives us all the good feels.

    5.Ā Set A Date

    6. For most engaged couples, thereā€™s no huge rush to get married, but many of you have specific and definite ideas about where youā€™d like it to happen and whom you want on your wedding dream team. If this is you, the earlier you set your date the better chance you have of reserving your first choice venue and snagging that in-demand florist or cake baker.

    7.Ā Choose your wedding rings.

This is where we come in. Weā€™ve got hundreds ofĀ wedding ringsĀ to choose from and can help youĀ determineĀ whether you want a plain one or a diamond one; a non-traditional metal or one set with gemstones rather than diamonds. Spend some time with our Ring Matcher Tool to see the rings that complement or match your engagement ring style, or read all about the variety of metals our plain rings come in. As always, our team ofĀ Diamond and Jewelry ConsultantsĀ are available 24/7 to help you make the right decision for your lifestyle.

  • A Special Sunday

0 comments / Posted by Admin Radiant Bay

    Consider this job posting:

"No degree or prior experience required; salary and hours non-negotiable; no paid benefits; lifelong tenure.ā€

Would you be surprised to learn than 85 million Americans now hold this position?

    Their job title is Mom.

In some parts around the world, this Sunday is dedicated to the mothers out there. For Motherā€™s Day, weā€™ve rounded up sites on motherhood, parenting, and family.

Mothers give up a lot for their jobs: Ā their waistlines, sleep, the backseat of their cars, years of peace and quiet. Theyā€™d even give their lives. Take the example of the mother who lay down in front of her unattended car rolling downhill with her twin-daughters strapped inside. Many moms hearing that story probably found such an extraordinary action completely understandable.

Fortunately, a motherā€™s mettle is rarely put to the test by runaway cars.Ā  A more frequent challenge for moms is watching their kids rolling toward financial trouble. Ā Mothers too often become the human ā€œspeed bumpsā€ in such cases, putting their own resources between their children and bad credit or joblessness.

Certainly one of the best ways to honor moms this Mothersā€™ Day is to recognize their willingness to make such financial sacrifices, but at the same time, doing what is necessary to prevent them.Ā  It means asking moms to do both more and less for their kids:Ā  more financial education and empowerment; less sacrifice of their own financial well-being.

Happy Motherā€™s Day to all of you moms out there. I hope you get breakfast in bed, and a wonderful dinner at your favorite restaurant, treated like a queen for the day for the entire day. I also want to wish my mom a Happy Motherā€™s Dayā€¦ is now an angel in heaven. I know ā€¦ she was to see me back in Tibet. Sheā€™s organizing a squadron of angels to watch over and protect me, and Iā€™m thankful for that. And now she has a new recruit, my wifeā€™s mom who passed away last year at the end of my trip to Everest. But for all of you moms, Happy Motherā€™s Day. I hope everyone treats you like a queen. Iā€™m going to call my wife and three daughters.

    Happy Motherā€™s day.Ā
