From mismatched innovations to chokers and cuffs, follow the story on the jewels making the rounds this season.

Where the ear-cuff and single-earring left, a more advanced trend is taking off. Asymmetric mixes of ornaments are the modern choice to adorn your lobes. Be it mismatched in size and length or off in colour, there is beauty in irregularity.

Richly hued brass is the metal of the season. Design houses like Loewe , Lanvin and Dries Van Noten have gone bold and brash on a variety of baubles.

This season it's all about the tight embrace of the chokers and cuffs, with Designers like Balmain, Lanvin, DKNY, and Givenchy bringing pieces that take chic hold; experimenting with gems, metal, transparency and beyond.

The reign of the 70's trend hasn't ended yet. This prevailing trend has worked its way into getting even more earthy and a lot more chunky. Best suited for boho babes, the trend has been reworked to be more streamlined, with oversized beads, feathers and dream catcher jewellery worked from raw stones donning the runways of Etro, Marni and Stella Jean.
Dainty estate jewels have been making the rounds this season. The borrowed-from-your-grandma look ruled the runways of Dolce and Gabbana, Prada, Altuzarra. These delicate baubles are a great way to pay homage to the ladies who lunched.
Turning larger and bolder every season, the pendant necklace has taken over the statement market. These hulking baubles have changed the way we can update our basics. The only rule to follow with this trend is "The Bigger, The Better".

More is just not enough with this trend. Gucci, Givenchy and Dolce and Gabbanna unveiled models heavily adorned with pearls, jewels and tons of metal imbued on every piece of jewellery.

The fixation on girl power was evident, at Chanel, Dior and Stella McCartney, with models donning tough-as- nails jewellery. The idea was to mirror a woman's inner strength with audacious, chunky chains, and bangles with brightly coloured leather with slogans.

After spikes and padlocks, design houses Rodarte and Armani have twisted out another punk-era style code for spring. Rows of faux piercings and graphic safety-pin earrings have taken body piercings to another level.
